Quick fixes
Try these first.
01Record reps or a timed hold
- Open Today and tap + beside the exercise you completed. A set is one completed group of reps or one timed effort.
- Enter reps, or seconds for a timed exercise. A one-minute plank is 60 seconds. Choose today or the past date when you did it, add an optional note, and tap Save set.
- Separate efforts into separate sets: 12 push-ups followed by 10 more is two sets, a daily total of 22, and a best set of 12.
02Understand totals and progress
- Open Progress, choose an exercise, and select 7, 30, or 90 days. The period ends today and is compared with the same number of calendar days immediately before it.
- Daily totals and goals belong to one exercise and its unit. Plank seconds do not increase push-up repetitions. A zero means no activity was logged for that exercise on that date.
- Best day and best set use records through today. A current streak may end today or yesterday. Logged volume is not a measure of technique, intensity, or health.
03Correct a set or manage an exercise
- Open History and tap a set to edit its amount, date, or note. The exercise stays fixed; delete and re-log a set if it was assigned to the wrong exercise. Review the delete confirmation first.
- In Settings, add an exercise with a unique name, Reps or Seconds, a daily goal, and an icon. Its editor keeps the unit fixed. Goals are personal tracking examples, not a training prescription.
- Archive an exercise to remove it from new-set choices while retaining its history, progress, and backups. Restore it from Archived exercises in Settings. Archived names are still reserved.
04Export or restore a backup
- In Settings, choose Export backup and save the JSON file to a destination you control. It contains exercise settings, goals, sets, dates, and notes and is not an encrypted archive.
- Before restoring, export your current journal if you want to keep it. Choose Restore backup, select a compatible RepBloom JSON file, and review the replacement confirmation. Replace data replaces the entire journal; it does not merge journals.
- Backups support up to 10 MB, 200 exercise definitions, and 50,000 sets. Unsupported or damaged files leave your journal unchanged. RepBloom does not upload the selected file or keep a server copy.
05Storage recovery, reset, or a changed device date
- If saved data cannot be opened, RepBloom preserves the original file and blocks logging and export. Restore a known-good backup or deliberately use Reset all data in Settings. A failed save or restore leaves displayed records unchanged.
- Reset all data permanently removes local sets and custom exercises and restores the six starter exercises after confirmation. Export first if you need a separate copy. Existing exports and device backups are not deleted by a reset.
- If the device date moves backward, saved records remain in History and backups. Records dated after today are excluded from current progress until their date is reached. New sets and date changes cannot be assigned to a future calendar day.
Common questions
Quick answers.
Is RepBloom free?
Yes. RepBloom 1.0.0 has no advertising, in-app purchases, subscriptions, or paid feature unlocks. The App Store release is in preparation.
Does it count push-ups automatically or use Apple Health?
No. RepBloom is a manual journal. You enter reps or seconds yourself. The app does not use Apple Health, your camera, microphone, motion sensors, location, or contacts to count activity.
Can I sync between devices or recover a lost journal from support?
RepBloom has no account or automatic cloud sync, and support does not receive your journal. A retained JSON export or a compatible device backup may let you restore it. The destination you choose and device backup settings control those copies.
Can I use the same name for another exercise variation?
Use a distinct name for each variation. Capitalization, accents, and spaces at the beginning or end do not make a name unique. If the original exercise is archived, restore it instead of creating a duplicate.
What should I include in a support request?
Email support@mnboothllc.com with the app version, iOS version, iPhone model, what you expected, what happened, and steps to reproduce it. Do not attach a workout export, private notes, passwords, or sensitive information unless you deliberately choose to share them.
Keep private information out of your message. Do not include your full workout export, private notes, or sensitive personal information. Remove private details from screenshots and other attachments. RepBloom never attaches or sends your journal automatically.
